Home Tips | 5 Pro Christmas Tree Decorating Hack
🌟 Put your tree topper on first! I know this is usually the last thing we do when it comes to decorating our tree, but it's much easier to get it centered and in the perfect position if you put it on first
💡 String your lights vertically instead of wrapping them horizontally! Not only will this method of stringing lights make your tree brighter, but it is also easier and less time consuming to put them up and take them down.
🔝 Work from the top to the bottom of the tree when hanging ornaments. Remember that people's eyes are naturally drawn to the top and middle of the tree, so that's where you'll want to place your most attractive ornaments!
🎗️ To create beautiful swoops of ribbon that look like they are woven into your tree, use wired ribbon and cut it into 24 to 36-inch segments. Each segment will create two swoops. Tuck one end of a strip into the branches, let the ribbon flow at an angle, tuck the middle of the strip into the tree, and then tuck the end back into the tree.
🎄 Hang your largest ornaments first and tuck them deeper to add depth. Your largest ornaments are often your heaviest, and it will be easier to find the sturdiest branches if you start with them first!

Home Tips + Seasonal | How To Prep Your House For A Holiday Party // Happy Hanukkah
1. Clean out your coat closet or mudroom to make it easier for your guests to store their winter coats.
2. Your guests will be using your bathroom, so make sure it's stocked with plenty of toilet paper, clean towels, air freshener spray, and beautifully scented holiday soap!
3. Set the festive ambiance with some jazz tunes that will make your guests want to dance and spread holiday cheer!
4. Create a beverage station separate from the kitchen and dining areas. It will keep clutter from spreading, and guests won't be constantly in the way. Include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options, straws, cocktail napkins, and an ice chest or bucket.
5. Make sure your dishwasher is empty so there's room for dirty plates, glasses, and cutlery. It'll make clearing up a lot less stressful and more convenient.
6. Be sure to have plenty of plastic containers available for sending your guests home with any leftover food.
7. Set your thermostat to a comfortable temperature. You want your guests to feel cozy, and a temperature of 60-70 degrees usually does the trick!
8. Prepare as much food in advance as possible. You'll feel less stressed and have more time to socialize with your guests.
9. Have some holiday party games planned to keep everyone entertained and having fun!
10. Cozy up your living room with a festive holiday candle, Christmas lights, and extra pillows and blankets to make it a warm and inviting space for your guests to enjoy
